Serious Decisions in Your 20s
I'm still looking for it, but so far there is no manual to being in your twenties. Fear not, I will find it some day. However, until I do, here are just a few of the very, very serious decisions you’ll have to make in your twenty-somethings in the modern day.
Do you I stand up for my political beliefs or do I want to avoid learning how stupid some of my friends are?
Do I want a paycheck or do I want to sleep in everyday?
Do I complain about being single or do I go out of my way to reject people because I hate commitment?
Do I eat something (like literally anything) or drink more coffee (and by coffee, I mean wine, of course)?
Do I go to the gym to make guys jealous or do I say that I'm taking a stand against body standards and just forget it?
Do I go out on a Friday night or do I want to avoid feeling like death for the rest of the weekend?
Do I decorate my cubicle to make it homey or keep it empty in denial of being in a cube?
Do I reach out to friends who have drifted away or do I wave goodbye to them?
Do I go to weddings to support my friends and show I don’t mind being single or do I say I don't believe in the institution of marriage?
Do I save each month to pay for rent or do I spend money on having a social life?
Do I throw away that overly ripe avocado or do I look up a DIY project to use them with?
At least, these are most of the major questions that keep me up at night. Coming soon: my life manual for you twenty-somethings. You're welcome, btw. Have any other major life questions? Comment and let me know!
